Hilary Duff is pregnant.

The actress-and-singer and her husband, NHL player Mike Comrie, are expecting their first child together and announced their happy news today (14.08.11) on their first wedding anniversary.

In a posting on her official website, Hilary wrote: "Hello everyone! This weekend, Mike and I are celebrating our one year anniversary! In memory of the special day, we decided to post some of our favourite pictures from our wedding! I can't believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you're having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that BABY MAKES THREE!!! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives. Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support throughout the years! (sic)"

Before announcing her baby news, the 23-year-old star recently admitted she was really "excited" about starting a family with the 30-year-old sportsman.

She said: "We talk about it (having a baby). Yes, we're excited to do that ... We want it, we're excited for it."
