Kim Kardashian flies to Italy for honeymoon

Kim Kardashian has jetted off for a short honeymoon to Capri in Italy.

The socialite and her new husband Kris Humphries left Los Angeles' LAX airport for the European destination yesterday (22.08.11) following their nuptials in California on Saturday (20.08.11).

However, the couple will be back in the US by the weekend, as Kim is presenting at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (28.08.11).

The ceremony will be followed by another huge wedding party for the couple in New York City next Wednesday (31.08.11), and they will temporarily stay in the city, where Kim will film a new reality TV series with her sister, 'Kourtney and Kim Take New York'.

Kim has denied next week's party is a second wedding service, however, tweeting: "There are rumors of a 2nd wedding in NY. This is NOT true!! Our friends Jason Binn & Colin Cowie are throwing us a welcome to NY party (sic)!"

Although they are only having a short break in Italy, Kim has said she and basketball player Kris are planning to have a proper honeymoon but they won't be able to go until next year, because of their hectic work schedules.

Meanwhile, guests and friends have continued to wish the couple well following their nuptials.

Singer-and-actress Demi Lovato, who was at the wedding, tweeted: "So happy 4 my big sis @KimKardashian who is now MARRIED @krishumphries u better take care of her! had a blast @the wedding. (sic)"

Supermodel Heidi Klum couldn't make the ceremony, but tweeted: "Sending my congratulations to @KimKardashian & Kris from India (sic)."
