Director Doze Niu has gathered some of the most popular stars on the Chinese mainland and Taiwan for his new project, a romantic flick.

Actors Eddie Peng, Ethan Ruan and Mark Chao will work with mainland actress Zhao Wei and Taiwan big screen seductress Shu Qi to tell a love tale set in Beijing and Taipei.

The director, whose ancestral hometown was Beijing, has long wanted to set a film in the city.

Simply titled Love, the film is part of Huayi Brothers' Plan H, a project involving 11 young directors and their new works.
