To mark the 50th anniversary of the passing of Lei Feng - a People's Liberation Army soldier celebrated for his selflessness - Let's Discover Role Models, a special program aiming to find today's living Lei Feng, started on March 5 on CCTV-1.
Produced by Champion 360, a CCTV program showcasing talent in different professions, the show zooms in on ordinary people who are devoted to their job and always ready to help others.
Role models in the limelight include Guo Hanhua, a Beijing taxi driver who has been offering free rides to people with disabilities for six years, and Zhou Chenyan, a doctor in Chengdu, Sichuan province, who raises funds to treat children with leukemia.
