The Next Homeland, a documentary film festival sponsored by Xi'an Jiaotong University and CNEX (Chinese Next Foundation Ltd), was held last week at the university in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province.
During the five-day festival, 16 films produced by the United States, Canada, Japan, Sweden, Austria, Germany and the Chinese mainland, as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, were shown to arouse concern about environmental protection.
CNEX project manager Wang Lei says it was the second stop of the film show, which will be staged in 16 universities in eight cities nationwide in the coming year.
