The Suzie Wong club near the Solana Lifestyle Shopping Park in Beijing will hold its annual "Night of Shanghai" party on Sept 20, to revive the vintage style of the city in the 1920s and 1930s.
Ladies are asked to wear fancy qipao (a traditional Chinese dress) to showcase their beauty while enjoying wine and cocktails, while men should wear traditional costumes, fine suits and hats from those decades. Guests are expected to feel as if they have time-traveled to historic Shanghai.
The event is one of Suzie Wong's most popular parties and those who appear on the night wearing costumes typical of the 1920s and 1930s will receive free entry.
