The China National Philatelic Corporation recently issued a special stamp collection titled Chinese Dream, People's Happiness and first-day covers bearing the stamps in Beijing.

The collection includes four sheets, each of which relates an aspect of what common people expect for a happy and comfortable life. One sheet shows people's expectations of a good living condition, favorable job and modern lifestyle. A second one centers on social security, especially the opportunity to receive good education and the quality of healthcare. The third sheet reflects the progress of human rights and law enforcement. And the last sheet pictures the satisfying daily life scenes of the ordinary.

The illustrations on the stamps were designed by a team from Tsinghua University led by Professor He Jie. The postmark on the first-day cover shows an innocent little girl — inspired by traditional New Year paintings and clay sculptured figures, according to designer Shao Wenjie, a staff member with the National Philatelic Corporation.
