Support migrant workers
Comment on "Policies to help migrants settling in cities"( China Daily, Feb 24)
It is indeed welcome news that much stronger financial and other support is at last to be extended to those workers from rural areas who migrate to find work in China's cities and towns.
China's growing prosperity, over recent years, has been vastly boosted by the export of goods manufactured in factories. Most rural migrants working in the factories have contributed significantly to the economic miracle of modern China. They deserve a far greater level of State support.

Tickets for ordinary people
Comment on "Minimum price for discount movie tickets considered", (China Daily, Feb 28)
Generally one ticket costs one percent of a resident's monthly salary worldwide. Chinese film tickets are rather expensive considering Chinese people's average income. Film is a mass entertainment media, thus it must consider the purchasing power of common people. If the policy makes the public unwilling to go to cinema because of expensive ticket price, it will be harmful to China's film industry in the long term.
