Comment on "Beijing moves to curb prolonged haze pollution"(China Daily, Jan 14)
China has to take stricter measures to improve the environment, especially its air quality. I was outside China during the past few days when I saw the global media highlighting the air pollution problem in the country.
The government should reduce pollution drastically for the sake of people's health. I have been living in China for many years and have seen many positive developments, especially the increase in green cover and better roads. But these are obviously not enough. Something is wrong with the environment and it has to be fixed.
