Comment on "China plans establishment of Christian theology" (China Daily, Aug 7)
I am an American living in Zhengzhou, Henan province. I was a pastor of a church in the US for nearly 20 years. And I thank the author for the excellent article.
Christians in the US have the wrong idea about religion in China. In fact, I too suffered from this incorrect notion until I came here in 2011 and saw things as they really are. There is far more freedom of worship in China than I had imagined. But people in the US don't believe this. I'm happy that I have had the opportunity to live here and know the truth.
