BEIJING - Chinese 16-year-old swimming star Ye Shiwen claimed her second gold medal as the FINA short course swimming Beijing World Cup Saturday as the Olympic double winner won the women's 400m individual medley.

Ye, gold medallist of the event at the London Olympic Games, came from behind to win the gold at four minutes 26.93 seconds, beating the silver medallist, Hungary's Katinka Hosszu, by 0.83 second. Another Hungary's swimmer Zsuzsanna Jakabos took the third in 4:31.28.

"Actually I am not going to celebrate," said Ye, who stunned the world by winning the 200m medley with a new world record at the London Games this summer. "I am not satisfied with the result. I still have a lot of problems and I need to improve."

"I felt tired after the race, but I was not nervous during the final, because though I was behind in the first 200m, I knew that I can catch up," she added.

Another Chinese teenage girl Shao Yiwen also claimed two gold medals at the Beijing World Cup as she won the 400m freestyle Saturday with a time of 4:00.56 after winning the 200m free Friday. Her compatriot Zhang Yufei took the silver at 4:06.48, while Melissa Ingram of New Zealand was third in 4:06.53.

"The result was OK, but it was not my personal best," said the 17-year-old Shao.

Beijing Olympic champion Liu Zige took a bronze Saturday in the women's 200m butterfly at 2:08.75. Hosszu and Jakabos got the 1-2 finish at 2:06.02 and 2:07.25 respectively.

"I just took the final as training," said Liu, who only took a fifth finish in the 100m fly Friday. "I am making some adjustment."

China also won the mixed 4X50m freestyle relay.

Hosszu was the biggest winner at the Beijing World Cup as she pocketed three gold, one silver and one bronze at the two-day competition, and she was also the busiest swimmer by taking part in as many as eight events.

"I felt very tried," she said. "But I am happy with the result. I just want to do something different and I think it's interesting."

The Beijing World Cup is the sixth stop of the FINA short course World Cup 2012, and the eight-leg series will move to Tokyo and Singapore in the last two stops.
