BEIJING - Three-time NBA All-star Gilbert Arenas missed a head-to-head clash with seven-time All-star Tracy Mcgrady in the fourth round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.

Arenas was benched for groin strain, only to see Mcgrady deliver 23 points and 9 rebounds but meet with a frustrating four-game losing streak as Shanghai, led by captain Liu Wei's 28 points, overwhelmed Qingdao 93-77 for its first win at home.

"The win was owed to good defence, especially on T-mac, who used too much energy trying to breaking through us," said Liu.

Yi Jianlian made 9 out of 14 field shots for a team-high 26 points, leading Guangdong Hongyuan to a 113-87 win over Jiangsu Dragon. Yi had a brilliant shooting percentage of 75 after four games, plus 67 percent on three-pointers.

With the foreign recruits nursing injuries, Xinjiang Guanghui led all the way to grab a 89-90 home victory over Bayi Fubang in an all-Chinese-player game.

Guard Xiralijan led Xinjiang with 23 points, followed by former NBA Spurs center Menk Bateer with 14. Baiyi's Wang Zhizhi took a game-high 27 points and 6 rebounds.

In Sunday's other games, Liaoning Hengye beat Tianjin Ronggang on 100-81; Zhejiang Chouzhou beat Dongguan Marco Polo 103-98 in overtime; Shanxi Zhongyu beat Foshan Long Lions on 120-112; Shandong Gold beat Jilin Northeast Tiger on 110-108; Fujian SBS beat Zhejiang Guangsha 93-88.
