Chinese skater and gold medal hopeful Wang Meng suffered a fracture in her right foot during training in Shanghai, Hisports.com reported on Thursday.
Four-time Olympic champion Wang was preparing for the Sochi 2014 Olympics and was widely expected to be China’s top contender in short track speed skating.
Wang was immediately sent to Huashan Hospital for treatment.
