China secures women's singles gold at Denmark Badminton Open

COPENHAGEN - Two Chinese badminton players entered the women's singles final at Yonex Denmark Open in central Denmark's Odense on Saturday, locking for gold and silver medals a day ahead of Sunday's final.
The women's singles final will be contested by last year winner Wang Yihan, seeded No 3, and top seed Li Xuerui, both of China.
In her semifinal, Wang Yihan beat compatriot Wang Shixian, seeded No 2, in two straight sets 21-19, 21-12, while Li advanced after beating fourth seed Sung Ji-Hyun of South Korea with an easy victory of 21-17, 21-12.
Chinese players also entered the finals in all other four categories.
