BELGRADE - Serbian Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) basketball team won their fourth game in the Euroleague by beating Italian champions Armani Milan 83:70 in the eighth round of the competition.

Italian Serie A1 leaders lost their initial five point lead in the first quarter, allowing Red Star to make a turnover and dominate the game, mostly thanks to attractive five three-pointers of veteran Marko Simonovic.

American playmaker Nate Walters scored 14 points and delivered 6 assists to set the local fans on fire. Ognjen Kuzmic and Milko Bjelica each had 7 rebounds.

Allesandro Gentile scored 14 points with Mantas Kalnietis and Zoran Dragic 9 each for Milan.

Both teams record four wins and four losses on the standings, with 22 more games to play before playoffs.

Red Star's coach Dejan Radonjic said, "There was the belief that we can turn this into a victory, which we managed to do. The lead did not decrease in the second half so we have triumphed over a team that is extremely potent in attack. We were better in attack than usually."

Coach of Armani Milan Jasmin Repesa said, "Red Star is a team that plays the best defense. We knew that and analyzed. They do not let the opponent to establish a rhythm in play. Red Star defense made huge contribution to this."
