The 2015 Conference on Innovation and Development of International Holiday Destinations will be held on Oct 14 in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province.
In the lead up to the conference there will be a series of events and activities across the country such as the selection of 2015 International Holiday Destinations, media trips to destinations and discussion salons.
The official Chinese language website of the conference is Dujia.people.com.cn.
Domestic destinations such as scenic spots and resorts, can join the selection and be evaluated by their online demonstrations, media trips and experts' comments.
Media trips will be arranged to look for the destinations with the most innovative culture ideas. Reporters, freelancers and tourism experts and entrepreneurs will visit the destinations and learn about the local tourism resources, facilities and service.
According to Xu Ting, founder and chairman of Woniu (Beijing) Tourist Attraction Management, to achieve long-term development, destinations must have innovative culture ideas in terms of good environment and service. For example, one can combine the local culture into the garden designs and tourism facilities.
Luo Hua, vice-president of People's Daily Online, said the colorful events will help build and promote brands of destinations, and offer a platform for tourists, media, experts and investors to communicate with each other.
