2 Bikini Watermelon Wheat: This is the third year that Jing-A Brewing has been doing the Beijing Bikini Watermelon Wheat, a summer seasonal drink with 4.5 percent alcohol by volume. Jing-A's founders Kristian Li and Alex Acker say a thirst-quenching cold beer and a slice of watermelon that does the same job go down a treat, so they thought: Why not have the best of both worlds? So they brew the beer once a year in June with the best local watermelons from farmers in Daxing, in the southern suburbs of Beijing. Why the word bikini? It evokes the image of bare-bellied men walking around Beijing hutong in summer with their shirts rolled up.
