More than five hundred students from 35 business schools, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China and the University of Hong Kong, took part in first BAIC Motor Asia Pacific MBA Grassland Marathon in Huitengxile grassland in Inner Mongolia.
The team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University won the race in six hours, 27 minutes and 47 seconds, followed Beijing Normal University and Renmin University of China.
Organizers said the event not only aimed to create a platform for exchange of ideas and social network but also unleash the potential of each MBA student through sports, competition and grassland experience.
The competition started on July 23. Each team had to complete a total of 42.195 kilometers. In order to make participants have a different Mongolian grassland experience, the organizers designed different routes for participants.
With an altitude of over 1800 meters, Huitengxile means "a cold plateau" in Mongolian. The event was organized by local tourist bureau and Inner Mongolia Prairie Cultural Communication Co. Ltd.
