ROK chief nuclear negotiator to visit Washington

SEOUL - The chief envoy of Republic of Korea (ROK) to Six- Party nuclear talks, Wi Sung-lac, is leaving Thursday for Washington for talks, the foreign ministry here said.

Wi is scheduled to meet with Stephen Bosworth, US special representative on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) , Kurt Campbell, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, and Robert Einhorn, a special advisor for nonproliferation and arms control at the State Department.

The officials are expected to discuss the DPRK's nuclear issues, the foreign ministry said. Wi is scheduled to return to South Korea on Saturday.
