CHICAGO - More than 400 flights were canceled at O' Hare International Airport by early Wednesday due to rain and poor visibility caused by heavy storms that moved through the Chicago area.
Flights in and out of O' Hare were delayed up to one hour while Midway Airport was experiencing some delays and a few cancellations.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for severe thunderstorms and damaging winds. Nearby Will, Kendall and Kankakee counties were under a tornado watch until 1 pm Wednesday.
A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms that could produce tornadoes.
