It's that time of year again, as we prepare for the two-week annual sessions, namely, the National People's Congress or NPC and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference or the CPPCC.

In the People's Hall at Tian'anmen Square, the government briefs the sessions on what they did in the past year and plans for the coming year. With the reports, they solicit ideas from the session attendees.
