ABIDJAN - Cote d'Ivoire's former president Laurent Gbagbo who was arrested on Monday by pro-Ouattara forces has called for dialogue between civilian protagonists in the country's post-election crisis.
The pro-Ouattara forces had launched an offensive against Gbagbo's residence which had earlier been bombarded by the UN and French Licorne forces.
"I would wish to appeal that we put down our weapons and end this conflict through dialogue," Gbagbo said.
