Bruce holds his daughters Lauren (left) and Kathryn (right) at 4 weeks old, while still in the neonatal intensive care unit at the Columbia Hospital for Women in January 1995 in Washington DC. Meet the family that leaves onlookers seeing double - because their six children are three sets of twins. Fran and Bruce Pitre, from Jacksonville, Florida, USA, were told they would never be able to have children because of an unknown fertility issue. But after twice undergoing Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (GIFT), which is similar to IVF but allows conception to take place inside the fallopian tubes, they have three sets of twins. They are now the proud parents of 15-year-old daughters Lauren and Kathryn, 10-year-olds Erin and Brandon - who were all born after GIFT treatments - and Sean and Benjamin, 2, who were incredibly conceived naturally.
