Obama picks Dartmouth Kim to head WB:official

WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama will nominate Dartmouth College President Jim Yong Kim to head the World Bank, senior administration officials said on Friday.

Kim is a Korean-American physician and a prominent figure in global health and social medicine.
He will succeed the outgoing Robert Zoellick, who plans to step down when his term expires at the end of June.
The White House said Obama would make an announcement at 10:00 eastern time.
