Costa Rican police seize ton of cocaine

SAN JOSE - Costa Rican authorities have seized 1,081 kg of cocaine hidden in a fishing vessel captured in the country's southern region, the country's public security ministry said Sunday.
According to the ministry, the ship, identified as "CP Erson" with local registration number P-271, was intercepted Saturday by a Canadian warship.
After the vessel was inspected, police found the cocaine in bags hidden in fuel containers.
Four Costa Ricans were arrested during the operation.
