Kenya Zhengzhou Week, introducing the scenery and culture of Zhengzhou, was launched in the Kenyan capital Nairobi on Monday.

Chairman of the Defense and Foreign Relations Committee of the National Assembly of Kenya Ndun'gu Gethenji, CEO of ICT Authority of Kenya Victor Kyalo, Chinese ambassador to Kenya Liu Xianfa and head of the Zhengzhou delegation Wang Zhe, who is also member of the Zhengzhou standing committee, attended the ceremony at the Safari Park Hotel, cutting a ribbon to launch the activity.

A Kenyan martial arts team from the CRI Confucius Classroom in Hospital Hill High School gave a performance while monks in the delegation demonstrated Chinese kung fu, including qigong, a traditional Chinese health and exercise system.

One qigong master threw a common needle through a piece of glass held by his colleague to burst a balloon on the other side of the glass. Monks also showed how they handle traditional Chinese weapons. The youngest monk in the team is only six years old.
