MOSCOW - Any forces threatening Russian military targets in Syria will be immediately destroyed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday at a Defense Ministry Board session.
Putin also ordered Russia's armed forces to fight against the Islamic State terrorist group "in an extremely tough way."
