DPRK test-fires 'multiple' missiles: ROK military

SEOUL -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) launched several projectiles Thursday morning, local media quoted the Republic of Korea's military as saying.

The DPRK test-fired "multiple unidentified projectiles" from a site near Wonsan in Gangwon Province, the Yonhap news agency reported, citing ROK's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The JCS claimed that the projectiles appeared to be surface-to-ship missiles.
