Ivo Pogorelich was born in Belgrade in 1958 and studied with the renowned pianist and teacher Aliza Kezeradze, who he later married. She was able to transmit the spirit and substance of the school of Beethoven and Liszt, originated in Vienna and then carried through to the Conservatory of St. Petersburg, which flourished toward the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. Program includes Liszt Fantasie for Piano in C major and Schumann's Op. 17.

China National Orchestra Concert

The China National Orchestra is a large orchestra of traditional Chinese musical instruments (with accompanying choir) based in Beijing. It was established in 1960 and has performed throughout China and visited dozens of nations on five continents. Shows like The Cowherd and Girl-Weaver, What a Great World and Tibet in Spring have become the brand of the orchestra.
