Over the past decade, Chen Sa has established herself as one of the most charismatic pianists of her generation. She earned critical acclaims at the International Chopin Piano Competition in 2000 and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2005 which began her professional performing career, bringing her evocative performances to audience around the world. Born in China, Chen grew up in a musical family. Her mother is a professional dancer and her father is a French horn player. In 2007, she graduated from Arie Vardi's Solo Class at the Hannover Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Germany, received PhD in Performance. In the 2015/16 season, Chen will maintain an intensive schedule, including a 22 recital tour in Germany, a 13 recital tour in China, concerto performances with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, debut recital at the Prague Spring Festival, recital at Sala Verdi in Milan and chamber performances at the Bad Kissingen Festival in Germany and the Le French May festival in Hong Kong.

Martha Masters 2015 Beijing Guitar Recital

Martha Masters is a renowned American classical guitarist. She won the 2000 Guitar Foundation of America international solo competition. Masters is the Executive Vice-president of the GFA. According to Naxos "she received both the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, where she studied with Manuel Barrueco, and completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Southern California as a student of Scott Tennant." Martha is currently a professor and guitar instructor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, where she gives both private instruction and directs the LMU Guitar Ensemble.
