Don Pasquale is a famous Italian three-act comic opera created by composer Donizetti in 1842, and considered representative of romantic opera. As the last of his 66 opera productions, this opera, his another opera L'elisir D'amore and Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia are hailed as the three most popular Italian comic operas. It presents a late-life love of mean and wealthy Pasquale with a humorous and witty story, as well as vivid and beautiful music. It contains several well-known choruses, such as heroine Norina's aria Quel guardo il cavaliere, tenor Ernesto's aria Com'e gentile, and baritone Malatesta's aria Bella siccome un angelo.
