This program combines dance with Chinese traditional opera, telling a story about three opera actors at the end of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is about love, courage and diligence. Shanxi Huajin Dance Drama Ensemble was founded in April 2005. Since its inception, the troupe has created, and performed dance dramas A Handful of Wild Jujubes and The Life of A Peking Opera Artist successively. These dramas won the Wenhua Award, Wenhua Outstanding Repertoire Award, and many other major awards.
