"Iranian people will resist to the end to defend their nuclear right," Ahmadinejad said in speech in Sanandaj, the capital city of Kurdestan province.

"Thanks to God, time is in favor of Iran and with every passing day they (world powers) are having to take a step backward and recognize Iran's right while the Iranian people take a step forward to the summit of technology," he said.

The president said on Tuesday that time was moving in favor of his country on the nuclear issue and Iran would celebrate the complete access to nuclear technology by the end of this year.

Iran's current calendar year ends on March 20, 2007.
