Musharraf to take oath for 2nd term as president on Nov 29

ISLAMABAD -- The incumbent Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf will take oath as president for the next 5-year term on Nov. 29, local TV channel DAWN NEWS reported on Monday.

The report said that the Defence Ministry would notify the retirement of General Musharraf as Chief of the Army Staff a day before the oath-taking.

The oath taking ceremony will be held at the Presidency in the capital Islamabad and Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar will administer the oath taking process, the report said.

The Election Commission of Pakistan Saturday notified the election of General Pervez Musharraf as president of Pakistan. The cabinet division is expected to make an official announcement of the presidential election results later.
