There will be no further postponement of the national and provincial parliamentary elections, which were originally planned for January 8, local channel Dawn News quoted Musharraf as saying.

The remarks came amid accusations from certain oppositions members that the government had postponed the elections to avoid votes going to opposition candidates due to emotional reasons.
