Egypt reports first A(H1N1) flu case

CAIRO -- Egypt has reported its first influenza H1N1 case, the Egyptian Nile television reported in its Arabic channel on Tuesday.

The case is the first in the populous African country, and the 24th in the Middle East region.

Israel has up to now reported 17 cases of the flu, Turkey reported 4 cases, the United Arab Emirates 1, Oman 1.

Eighteen US soldiers have been confirmed infected with the flu virus during transit in Kuwait in late May.
