M.6.0 quake hits off Indonesia: Hong Kong Observatory

HONG KONG - An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit the sea region off the Halmahera Island, Indonesia, at 5:21 pm HK time (0921 GMT) on Wednesday, said the Hong Kong Observatory.

The epicenter was initially determined to be north of Halmahera, Indonesia, about 410 km east-northeast of Manado. It was located at 3.0 degrees north latitude and 128.3 degrees east longitude.
