15 killed, 16 injured in Pakistan suicide blast

ISLAMABAD - At least 15 people were killed and 16 others injured in a suicide blast which took place Monday afternoon near a mosque in Wana of South Waziristan in northwest Pakistan, reported local media.

According to the reports, the blast took place near a mosque where there were reportedly more than one hundred people offering prayers inside. Some reports said that the blast took place inside the mosque.

This is the third blast reported Monday in Pakistan. Prior to this, two blasts were also reported in the country, both in its northwest tribal areas. One was in Kurram agency, killing eight poeple; and the other in Khyber agency, injuring seven security troops.
