De-horned black rhino still in danger

Phila, a 5-year-old rhinoceros, is being bred to help establish a viable herd of the critically endangered black rhino. She was shot twice in the wild and seven more times after being moved to a "secure" enclosure, all for the small stub of horn that was left after she was de-horned in an attempt to save her from becoming a poachers' target. She is now a resident of the Johannesburg Zoo, in South Africa. [Photo/CFP]
