CHICAGO - A 48-year-old woman was killed when she was asleep on bed as an SUV crashed into her bedroom in Bolingbrook, a village in Will and DuPage counties of Illinois State near Chicago early Saturday morning, the Chicago Tribune reported.

A 17-year-old boy, influenced by alcohol, ran his SUV off the road and crashed through a window into the bedroom of a first- floor apartment, where the woman was trapped under the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman's husband survived and another person was being treated for injuries, but it remains unknown how many people were in the apartment at the time of the accident.

There were two people in the SUV. The 17-year-old driver was taken into custody and the other person was being interviewed by police.

Police are working with the States Attorney's Office for charges.
