PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan - Ten more Taliban fighters laid down arms and surrendered to government in northern Baghlan province on Saturday.

He also showed the surrendered insurgents to journalists and said their surrender to authorities would stabilize security in the province.
Commander of the group Mullah Mahtab in his brief speech said, "from now on I would work for peace and defend the government."
This is the second Taliban group have surrendered to the government over the past week.
Ten Taliban fighters gave up insurgency in Baghlan province on Thursday.
Around 200 Taliban militants have given up militancy and resumed normal life in Baghlan province over the past couple of months, according to officials.
