DHAKA - Five people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on-collision between two buses Thursday morning at Bangladesh's Bhogirathpur in Sadar sub-district of Narsingdi district, 51 km northeast of capital Dhaka.

Police was quoted by private news agency UNB as saying that a Narisngdi bound bus collided head on with another Dhaka bound luxury bus coming from opposite direction, leaving five people killed on the spot at about 8 am local time.

At least 10 people, including a bus driver, were also injured in the fatal accident.

All the victims were the passengers of the Narisngdi bound bus. The bus was also badly damaged in the accident.
