"Osama was killed by American troops in Abbotabad of Pakistan yesterday and I hope with his elimination the terrorist activities will be over," Karzai said.

Afghan president also said killing Osama in Pakistan has clearly proved that war on terror in Afghan villages would not achieve set goal, rather the international community should focus on terrorist safe havens outside Afghanistan.
