Indonesia to host ministerial summit of non-aligned movement

JAKARTA - Indonesia will host the 16th Ministerial Conference and Commemorative Meeting of the Non- Aligned Movement (NAM) in Nusa Dua of Bali province on May 23-27, a press statement said on Thursday.

The summit will be attended by delegations from 118 countries.

The 16th summit will be a special event as it is coincidence with the 50th anniversary of the movement that was established in September 1961 in Beograd of Yugoslavia.

The summit, followed by a commemorative meeting of the 50th anniversary, will be themed "Shared Vision on the Contribution of NAM for the Next 50 Years".

The event will also invite two future members of the movement, namely Fiji and Azerbaijan that will be inaugurated as the members of the movement.
