France denies NATO helicopter shot down in Libya

TRIPOLI - The French defense ministry denied a report by the Libyan media saying that a NATO helicopter was shot down by Gaddafi forces in Libya, Al-Arabiya television reported on Friday.

Libyan state television said on Friday a NATO helicopter was shot down by forces loyal to embattled leader Muammar Gaddafi, adding that the aircraft was shot down in the sea off the coast of the town of Zlitan.
