WASHINGTON - Stepping up pressure on Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi is at the top of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton's packed agenda as she embarks on a 12-day around-the-world diplomatic tour.

Clinton heads Thursday to Turkey, where she will attend a meeting in Istanbul of senior officials from nations supporting NATO's operation to protect Libyan civilians.

After meetings with Turkish officials on Saturday, Clinton travels to Greece for talks likely to include that country's financial crisis. From Athens, she flies to India for meetings expected to focus on counterterrorism after Wednesday's bombings in Mumbai.

Clinton next moves to Indonesia for a Southeast Asian regional security conference in Bali. She will then visit Hong Kong and southern mainland China, returning to the US on July 25.
