DPRK, ROK work to resume six-party talks

BALI, Indonesia - Top nuclear envoys of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Yong-ho and Republic of Korea (ROK) Wi Sung-lac met here Friday and both of them agreed to work to resume the six-party talks as soon as possible.

The bilateral meeting was held with the aim of implementing the follow-up actions of the Joint Statement of the Fourth Round of the Six-Party Talks, the DPRK envoy told reporters after the meeting on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum.

The meeting, which lasted for more than one hour, was conducted in a "serious and frank" manner, he said.
