PYONGYANG - Kim Jong-il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), returned home on Saturday after visits to Russia and China, the official news agency KCNA reported.
According to the KCNA, Kim Jong-un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, Kim Kyong-hui, member of the Political Bureau and department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other senior party and army officials went to receive him at the border railway station.
Kim left Pyongyang to pay a visit to Russia on August 20 at the invitation of Russian president Dmitri Medvedev. He paid a visit to northeast China on his way home following the Russia visit.
