M5.9 quake hits central Chile - USGS

WASHINGTON - A magnitude 5.9 quake hit central Chile on Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said.
The quake was centered 24 miles (38 km) north of Valparaiso and had a depth of 11.8 miles (19 km), the USGS said.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
