BRUSSELS - Four people were killed and 75 others were wounded as a man armed with grenades, a rifle and a pistol started a killing spree in the eastern Belgian town of Liege on Tuesday.
The gunman, a local resident in Liege, has been identified as Nordine Amrani with criminal records. The 33-year-old man has been summoned to a police station on Tuesday morning for unknown reason before the killing took place at lunch time.
The man died along with two teenage boys and a 75-year-old woman, said Prosecutor Daniele Reynders.
There is still no confirmation on whether the gunman took his own life or was killed by the police force.
The injured included a two-year-old who was in serious condition, according to a local hospital. Fifty-two of the injured have to receive medical care at local hospitals.
